Bellator Light Heavyweight Rankings

Continuing my 8-part series to produce my unofficial rankings for Bellator MMA, today I will be releasing my rankings for their light heavyweight division. Expect these rankings to change soon as former ranked UFC fighter Corey Anderson has recently signed with Bellator MMA, and will be taking on my #5 ranked, Melvin Manhoef in the main event of Bellator 251 next month. Former champ, Ryan Bader fell from champion to #1 spot when he was knocked out by Vadim Nemkov when Nemkov won the title. Phil Davis sits firmly at #2 after defeating Lyoto Machida in a rematch. I expect to see Phil Davis to get the next title shot as his only two losses in Bellator are both split decision losses to Ryan Bader and Vadim Nemkov. Davis currently is riding a three fight win streak. The other possibility for the next title shot is Corey Anderson if he gets the win next month. There was actually talk of Anderson getting an immediate title shot upon his debut in Bellator. This is taking nothing away from Melvin Manhoef, as he is a powerful, tough night out for anybody. If Manhoef can get a big over a big name in Corey Anderson, expect to see him ranked higher with a possibility at a #1 contender fight.

As always, I must say, I am not affiliated with Bellator MMA in anyway. My list is unofficial and may differ from any official rankings by Bellator MMA. I have never been able to find any published official rankings from Bellator. I also have never been able to find continually updated fan made, unofficial rankings. So I have made my own, and will continue to update them as Bellator holds events.
