Bellator Heavyweight Rankings

As I mentioned a few days ago, I will be publish my fighter rankings for Bellator MMA. I have been unable to find any sort of official rankings for Bellator fighters. Any unofficial, fan-made rankings are no longer updated. So I will be creating my own. Starting today, I will be publishing rankings for one weight class a day, leading up to the vacant middleweight title fight at Bellator 250. These rankings will continue to be updated.

First up is the heavyweight division. The heavyweight rankings in Bellator feature an interesting mix of former UFC fighters, longtime Bellator veterans, and up and coming prospects.

Former double champion Ryan Bader still holds the title at heavyweight. Tim Johnson recently won a split decision over Cheick Kongo to earn his way into the #1 contender spot. I expect to see a Ryan Bader vs Tim Johnson fight for the heavyweight title sometime early next year.

The Combat Sports Journal will be publishing and continually updating fighter rankings for Bellator MMA. I am not affiliated with Bellator MMA and these rankings are unofficial, my lists may differ from any official Bellator MMA rankings. As I mentioned above, I will be publishing one weight class per day leading up to Bellator 250. Bellator 250: Mousasi vs Lima takes place on Thursday, October 29. This fight will determine the champion of the currently vacant middleweight title.
